As the 1st quarter of school winds down, we want you to know CTC is still accepting students into our program. Our gracious Lakeside school administration has allotted funds to be used for additional homework help from the school’s teachers four nights week! Additionally, educators from NEIU19 have begun their STEM projects with us for the school year. We are also happy to announce you can now follow CTC on instagram. Our user name is honesdalectc . Give us a a follow and keep an eye out for announcements, updates to the program, pictures of the fun we have in our program, and more!
Our 2019-2020 CTC documents are ready for download! Please let us know if you have any questions about the upcoming school year.
On behalf of all our staff, and our board of directors, I would like to thank all the families who took advantage of our program, the Wayne Highlands school district for housing our program, the Lakeside school staff, and our community for supporting our program this past school year. We had a great year at CTC, and I am looking forward to next year. I shared this sentiment at our end of the year dinner, but would like to again say: This being my 3rd year as the CTC Director, I have now seen a group of students go through the program from the start of their time at Lakeside, till the end of it. It truly is a rewarding, fulfilling job I am blessed to have; to watch these young students grow, and hopefully help them mature into fruitful members of our community. I’m so grateful for being able to do what I do, and am looking to the continued success of our program. Thank you!
- Rich Palazzo, Executive Director
As CTC winds down the school year, we want to thank all of the families and students who take advantage of our program. Additionally, we would like to thank all of the wonderful support we get from community members, local businesses, the Wayne Highlands School District, and from the community at large! We are excited to have many guests coming to CTC to share enriching experiences with our students. We have had Mr. Peter Rushton from P,T. Reptiles come in and talk to our students about different animals, reptiles, etc.; and also martial arts instructors from our local YMCA to do a martial arts session with our students. We also have educators coming in from NEIU 19 coming in to do STEM projects with our students. We are currently learning about robotics, and our students are LOVING it! CTC will be taking a few field trips to close out the year, and we are of course excited about that as well!
Now that the weather has broke, CTC will be planning many enrichment activities and trips for our students. Stay tuned for more information.
CTC is in full swing! If your child(ren) would like to join us, please review our information sheets and fill out the application form. Your child may turn them in to the office at any time, although they must be turned in at least 1 day to their CTC start date.
Attention any parents / guardians whose child(ren) are taking the activity buses home. Please be aware the activity buses offer general drop off, not house to house drop offs. You MUST make arrangements with the Lakeside school and your child’s bus driver prior to them taking the late bus. Contact the Lakeside school office for assistance. Additionally, the activity buses are now picking up CTC students at 5:15 because of the winter sports schedule.
